When Alley Kat opened in 1995, Aprikat was the first apricot ale in Alberta, and one of the first fruit beers in the province, making it the perfect invitation to get anyone hooked on craft!
One of Alberta’s favourite craft beers, Aprikat, is based on a North American style wheat ale. Our award winning brilliantly clear wheat ale stands out with its orchard fresh aroma and mouthwatering taste of apricots. We add a natural apricot extract to produce a perfect, not-too-sweet flavour and aroma backed with a slight graininess from the wheat ale base.

When Alley Kat opened in 1995, Aprikat was the first apricot ale in Alberta and one of the first fruit beers in the province! The inspiration for this beer came from a trip to Idaho, where our owners, Neil and Lavonne, were traveling around and sampling brews. We infuse this beer with a natural apricot extract to enhance the fruit flavour.
