Substitute Aprikat for 3/4 of the milk in any beer waffle batter.

PORTER FONDUE

  • 11/2 cups Gruyere, shredded
  • 1 cup Emmental, shredded
  • 1/2 Appenzeller , shredded
  • 1 clove garlic cut in half
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 3/4 cup beer (hearty beers work best, like amber, porter or stout) (a little less if not using Appenzeller cheese) hot pepper sauce to taste

Rub the pot with garlic, pour in beer and the chili sauce. Chuck in cheese.

SMOKED PORTER FONDUE

  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Pepper Jack Cheese, shredded
  • 3/4 cup smoked porter
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 clove garlic cut

Same directions as above.
